Airbnb Turnover Cleaning Checklist

  1. 1. Arrival & Damage Check

    Photograph entry, living room, and kitchen on arrival. Read host notes, confirm the lockbox code, set aside anything guests left, and flag new damage.

  2. 2. Strip Beds & Start Laundry

    Strip every bed and start the first wash. Sort linens and towels, pre-treat stains, load guest dishes, and move the first load to the dryer.

  3. 3. Kitchen Reset

    Empty the dishwasher and put dishes away. Wipe appliances inside and out, clean counters and sink, restock coffee and condiments, and mop.

  4. 4. Bedrooms

    Make beds with fresh linens and stage pillows to match the listing. Dust furniture and mirrors, vacuum under beds, and check closets for lost items.

  5. 5. Bathrooms

    Scrub toilets, showers, and tubs. Clean mirrors and chrome, restock toiletries and paper, fold and stage towels, and mop the floors.

  6. 6. Living & Dining Areas

    Dust electronics, shelves, and decor. Vacuum the couch and under cushions, fluff and stage pillows, wipe remotes and handles, and spot-mop floors.

  7. 7. Restock & Amenity Check

    Replenish coffee, tea, snacks, and condiments. Replace toiletries and paper supplies, count spare linens, and reset the thermostat and lights to host settings.

  8. 8. Damage & Maintenance Report

    Photograph and log any new damage. Test the TV, wifi, and appliances, report dead bulbs and batteries, check detectors, and note missing items.

  9. 9. Final Walkthrough

    Photograph each room after cleaning. Check under beds and in closets, empty all trash, lock windows and doors, and reset the lockbox code.

  10. 10. Turnover Complete & Handoff

    Send the host the completion link. Flag anything guests left behind, confirm the next booking, note supplies to restock, and log your time.
