Whole-Home Deep Clean Checklist

  1. 1. Whole House

    Remove cobwebs from ceilings and corners. Dust ceiling fans, light fixtures, and crown molding. Wipe baseboards and door frames. Disinfect light switches and doorknobs throughout. Replace HVAC air filters.

    Clean stovetop, oven, and range hood. Wipe cabinet fronts and tops. Clean inside the microwave. Degrease the backsplash. Sanitize countertops. Scrub and polish the sink and faucet. Empty trash and disinfect the bin.

    Scrub shower, tub, and tile grout. Descale showerhead and glass doors. Clean and disinfect the toilet inside and out. Wipe vanity and countertop. Clean the mirror. Restock supplies. Empty trash.

    Strip and change bed linens. Dust furniture, shelves, and picture frames. Wipe baseboards and window sills. Clean mirrors. Disinfect doorknobs, light switches, and closet handles.

    Dust furniture, electronics, and decor. Wipe baseboards and window sills. Clean sliding door tracks. Vacuum upholstery and throw pillows. Disinfect remotes and light switches.

    Dust desk, shelves, and electronics. Disinfect keyboard, mouse, and phone. Declutter paper and mail. Wipe cabinets and drawers. Clean windows and window sills.

  7. 7. Laundry Room

    Wipe washer and dryer exterior. Clean the lint trap and dryer vent. Wipe shelving and cabinets. Clean the sink (if present). Disinfect door handles and switches.

  8. 8. Entryway

    Wipe console table, shelf, and hooks. Clean shoe organizer and bins. Disinfect doorknobs. Shake out and wash entry rugs. Clean the front door glass.

  9. 9. Garage & Storage

    Sweep the floor and clear cobwebs. Wipe shelving and storage surfaces. Organize stored items. Clean light fixtures. Disinfect handles and high-touch areas.

  10. 10. Floors & Outside

    Vacuum all carpets edge-to-edge, moving light furniture. Mop all hard floors, working toward the exits. Sweep porch and walkway. Clean the front door and outdoor entry furniture.
